Tags: Qumana, ecto, blogging tools
Okay, so as I blunder along, I discover off-line blogging tools, and ecto is my first one. This post is being created with ecto, and we’ll see how it works. I’m a Windows person (you know I’m a mudge, right?) and ecto was the first listed recommended by WordPress tool that works in Windows. Please let’s not go for a windows/mac thing here; it’s just what I know and use, okay?
When I finally got my act together, all of these months later, my Ecto trial period had expired. So, I’m trying Qumana (you’ll find the link somewhere in these posts). Pretty slick!

I’m mudge, short as I’m certain you’ve figured out, for curmudgeon. I am not a professional writer, nor do I play one on TV. I’m told I’m a good writer, of letters, memos, instructional material and the like, but I’m sure the one or two people who happen on this feeble beginning will hardly keep their opinions on that issue to themselves. I’m very new to this blogging thing, and I’ll be taking baby steps as I try to figure it out. I’m confused by the conundrum: spend the time reading other well-done blogs, or spend the time writing this one. How to choose? I promise no insights. I have a muddled world view. Anyone who claims to understand the world is undoubtedly leagues ahead of me. I don’t know if I would read this blog if I happened upon it, so my ambition is to grow as a writer so someone else might eventually want to read it. I lead an ordinary, stressful, way too eventful existence. Perhaps I’ll tell you about it, but not today.
