Yes, Sally, this is a very different election year. The problems the next president faces, thanks to the corruption and dead-end ideology of eight years of George III, are all but insurmountable, but I have a feeling, stronger than hope, that Barack Obama is up to the challenge. I agree with you…I am mystified why people say there is NO difference between Obama and McCain. My best guess is that people are cynical and DO NOT TRUST politicians, any politician! I usually agree with that sentiment but Obama has shown me and time and time again that he is worthy of the title Politician and not the used car salesman most show themselves as.

Au contraire, curly! This is the first presidential election in many years where such a clear choice exists: principles vs. none; (relative) youth vs. grizzly age; oratory vs. mud-slinging. I can’t wait to cast my ballot! Thanks for adding to the discourse.

Here in Britain we are finding it hard to take the McCain/Palin campaign seriously. Their image has been damaged in recent weeks (but we don't like Obama much either!) What a rotten choice you have.
