Maria,
Seems until recently that having sufficient money put you above the law.
The flagrant abuse called Enron seems to have turned the tide a bit.
But Enron seems a quaint miniature of what's happened to the global financial system.
Thanks for contributing to the dialog here. I like your blog.

You wrote: "I can imagine some really juicy show trials come January."

I certainly hope so, those criminals deserve to be
punished.

All that greed for just making a few men filthy rich!

Oh, I'm sorry we are supposed to totally ignore a man who's friends/family, ALL OF THEM, seem to range from unrepentant terrorists, to anti-American whitey hating preachers, to corrupt real estate agents, to commie poets...well I could go on. And on and on.

But we shall ignore it all right? It's the Obamessiah!!!!

We should ignore the people who live in the community that Obama "organized" who are living in hell because he couldn't even organize well. We should ignore the 5 times he voted and came back after and claimed he pressed the wrong button, because you know, we want HIS finger on THE button.

We should ignore the gaffes and idiocy and out right bald faced lies of his VP choice. We should scream about Palin's pregnant daughter but say nothing about Biden's son and brother in law who are facing fraud charges. Maybe we should all sit around the kitchen table in Katie's Restaurant with Biden and talk about the bad times, well we could if it were not closed 20 years ago.

Sorry, I digress, you are right let's talk about the economy.

Can we ask the likes of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd why they fought so hard against oversight on Fran and Fred? All in the name of affordable housing? Oh and ask Obama while you're at it what he did to help, or Kerry, or Murtha or Reid or Pelosi...wait.. Pelosi was too busy handing PAC money over to her husband, and Feinstein she was too busy awarding military contracts to her husband as well. Maybe they should go check out William Jefferson's freezer see if they can find any cash. That'll solve the problem.
